Prehospital Academy is a free, open access educational platform dedicated to advancing emergency medical services (EMS) education for providers, educators, and students around the world. We curate and create high-quality, evidence-informed content that supports clinical excellence, professional growth, and improved patient care. Our platform strives to remove financial and geographic barriers so that all members of the EMS community can learn and teach without restriction.
Our Mission
Elevating EMS through quality open access education.

Why Open Access Matters
Access to educational materials should not be limited by cost, location, or institutional affiliation. Traditional barriers can restrict opportunities for learning, inhibit professional development, and perpetuate inequity. At Prehospital Academy, open access is fundamental to our core identity: we believe education should amplify potential, enhance patient outcomes, and elevate EMS practice globally.
Our Community
Our platform serves a diverse EMS audience:
Providers
Seeking evidence-based knowledge to improve clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.
Educators
Looking for teaching resources and instructional support to strengthen EMS programs.
Students
Pursuing prehospital care knowledge, certification preparation, and ongoing professional development.
Core Values
Our organization is guided by the following principles:
Accessibility
Education should be available to all, without cost or restriction.
Quality
Information must be evidence-informed, accurate, and relevant to current EMS standards and practice.
Equity
We promote equitable access to learning opportunities, particularly for underserved or resource-limited regions.
Community
Collaboration and shared learning strengthen the EMS profession as a whole.
Our Team
We are building a group of experienced EMS professionals, educators, and content specialists dedicated to supporting the mission of Prehospital Academy.
